The music was composed by me. I composed four different piano tracks to accompany the player through the cities. Thanks to FMOD, I split the music in smaller cells (more or less of the duration of a bar) and then created a semi-generative system to play them. This way, the music is itself almost-generative, creating new soundscapes for the player endlessly.

On the side there is a short video showing the main interactions of the player, whereas down here, a longer video shows the whole game walkthrough.

THE EMPEROR'S DREAM

I developed this game both visually and sonically during my studies at the University of Edinburgh. The project met very favorable feedback thanks to its sonic details and audio narrative, yet retaining an outstanding linearity, sonifications and adherence to conventions.

The audio was recorded and edited in Pro Tools and then imported into FMOD for implementation and final touches on the designs.

BLOODRITE

I worked on the sound design component of Bloodrite during an intensive Global Game Jam, held inside the Napier University in Edinburgh. The project presented its challenges, as the extremely small time frame at my disposal (I joined the group the second-to-last day), talking the engineers through the process of implementing FMOD, recording in very unfavorable environments, editing on the fly, coming up with all the sounds needed in the game and how to create them.
